In the village of Sheen is
The Staffordshire Knot public house and A La Carte restaurant. They offer a
brilliant special offer lunch times and evenings Tuesday to Saturday - 2 main
courses for only £16. This pub is definitely the BEST place
to eat locally. They also have full A La Carte menu always available, as well as
baguette, burger, children's menu and superb Sunday lunch menus.

The
Staffordshire Knot is our favourite local place to eat out here at Riverside.
The Packhorse inn at
Crowdecote is beginning to make a comeback after years of neglect. We are please
to say this pub has now been added to our recommended list. Great food, great
cask ales and great atmosphere, above all it is very friendly.

You will be spoilt for
choice. Literally! Our local pubs pride themselves on their catering excellence,
and all serve evening meals from 19-00 hrs to 21-00 hrs. However, if you prefer
something other than pub fare then Leek, Buxton and Ashbourne offer some
wonderful alternatives,
and are only a short drive away.

Leek, Buxton & Ashbourne all offer top class Chinese, Indian,
Italian, French, Thai, Spanish and English cuisine.
The Thai restaurant in Buxton is particularly special, it
is called "Simply Thai"
(Our sister in law is Thai and she rates it very highly - praise indeed!)

discovered the Flamenco Tapas bar and restaurant in Buxton. Jane & I were suitably

offers superb Indian cuisine, the best ever!

recommended list is in Ashbourne called Da Carlo Italian restaurant.
Great food at great prices, this includes the wine. Well worth looking up.
